Quality & compliance
What our customers' quality departments read before approving Avionix Lab as a supplier — certifications, release documentation, traceability standards, and what happens if something's wrong.

Release documentation standards we work to
Avionix Lab is a trading and distribution house, not an OEM, repair station, or issuing authority — we don't define release-documentation standards or issue release certificates ourselves. We source parts against the industry-standard release documentation below, issued by the original OEMs, authorized repair stations, or other approved sources, and pass it through to buyers unaltered.
FAA 8130-3
Authorized Release Certificate issued under FAA oversight, covering airworthiness approval or return to service.
EASA Form 1
The EASA equivalent — Certificate of Release to Service / Authorised Release Certificate for parts approved under EASA rules.
Dual Release
A single part carrying both FAA 8130-3 and EASA Form 1 — accepted without additional paperwork by operators under either authority.
CAAC AAC-038
Release documentation recognized by the Civil Aviation Administration of China, for parts moving into or through the Chinese market.
TCCA 24-0078
Transport Canada Civil Aviation release documentation for parts destined for Canadian-registered aircraft.
Non-Incident Statement
A declaration that a part or airframe has no history of involvement in an accident or reportable incident — standard for engines and airframes.
Back-to-birth traceability
For engines, landing gear and other life-limited assemblies, "back-to-birth" means the complete chain of ownership and maintenance records from original manufacture to today — every operator, every shop visit, every removal. We disclose tracedTo status per listing and provide the full record set once a deal is underway. Serial numbers are withheld on public listings by default and released after an RFQ is opened, so trace records aren't exposed before there's a real transaction.
Incident and accident-free statements
Where a part or airframe has no history of involvement in an accident or reportable incident, that is declared on the listing and backed by a Non-Incident Statement on request. Where history is unknown or the item is a teardown core, that is disclosed as clearly — condition and history are never implied to be better than what the record supports.
Counterfeit-part prevention
AS9120B requires a documented counterfeit-parts prevention programme for any accredited distributor, and it is not optional or a formality — every part is screened against its release documentation, physical condition and traceability record before it is offered for sale. Parts without adequate traceability are flagged and sold, if at all, only as explicitly non-certified teardown/scrap material — never represented as serviceable or airworthy.
Quality escape & return process
If a part doesn't match its documentation or condition as represented, here's what happens:
- 01
Report the discrepancy within 48 hours of receipt with photos and documentation.
- 02
Avionix Lab issues a Return Merchandise Authorization and covers return freight where the escape is confirmed on our side.
- 03
Root cause is investigated with the releasing facility; a corrective action is documented.
- 04
Replacement, credit or refund is issued — buyer's choice — once the investigation closes.
