Export compliance

Last updated: 24 July 2026

Draft — requires legal review. This page was drafted from the site brief and public regulatory sources, not reviewed by counsel. Do not treat it as final until a qualified lawyer has signed off.

1. Why this exists

Aircraft parts can be subject to export control regimes even when they are ordinary commercial components — most commonly U.S. re-export rules (EAR, administered by the Bureau of Industry and Security) and, less often, ITAR for defense-related items. As a global trader moving material across borders, Avionix Lab screens transactions against these regimes before shipment, regardless of where a part originates.

2. Export-controlled listings

Where a listing on this site is flagged export-controlled, an RFQ for that part requires additional information before we can issue a quote:

  • The end use of the part (installation, MRO stock, resale, etc.)
  • The end user — the operator or entity that will ultimately hold the part
  • The final destination country

We reserve the right to decline any transaction where end-use or end-user information cannot be adequately confirmed.

3. Denied-party screening

Before completing a sale, we screen counterparties against applicable restricted, denied and sanctioned-party lists. TODO(client/legal): name the specific screening lists/tools in use (e.g. the U.S. Consolidated Screening List, UN and applicable Indian sanctions lists) once a screening process and vendor are formally adopted.

4. Re-export & diversion

Buyers agree not to re-export, resell or transfer any part purchased from Avionix Lab in a way that would violate applicable export control law, and to provide truthful end-use/end-user information. Diversion of a part to an undisclosed end user or destination is a material breach of our terms of sale.

5. Dual-use items

Some aviation components qualify as dual-use (having both civil and military/security applications) under applicable control lists. Where a part we trade falls into this category, the same end-use/end-user screening in section 2 applies before it is quoted.

6. Questions

If you have a compliance question about a specific part or transaction, contact avionixlab.ae@gmail.com before proceeding with an RFQ.
